Is CaseLuma an official USCIS app?

No. CaseLuma is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, or any government agency.

USCIS remains the official source for immigration case status and guidance.

Does CaseLuma provide legal advice?

No. CaseLuma is an organizational and educational tool. It does not provide legal advice, file immigration forms, represent users, or guarantee immigration outcomes.

For legal advice, contact a qualified immigration attorney or accredited representative.

Why is my receipt number not working?

Check that the receipt number uses three letters followed by ten digits, such as IOE1234567890.

If the format is correct and the lookup still fails, USCIS or the CaseLuma backend may be temporarily unavailable. Try again later and confirm important information directly with USCIS.

Where are saved cases stored?

Saved cases, labels, notes, reminders, and preferences are stored locally on your device. If you enable status update alerts, the app may register your receipt numbers and device push token with the CaseLuma backend so it can check for status changes and send push notifications.

How do I delete saved cases?

Open Settings, then use the saved data controls to delete saved cases from the device.
